Algerian Black Pearl is a Youth-run digital platform which supports the creation of innovative online media content that reflects the interests of young people. Our mission is to bring together the media and civil society, providing young people with enhanced access to information and increased citizen-led initiatives in society.
ABP was founded in 2017, our project is youth-led; we create an online media content that corresponds to the social challenges and interest of young people in Algeria. We provide young people with a platform to talk about their day-to-day social challenges in order to increase their involvement in society. From civic engagement to entertainment, we create online discourse and interaction between the youth to improve relationships between men and women, discuss social justice issues and media literacy (equality and relationships, hate speech and fake news) promoting a culture of peace and intercultural dialogue.
